APPLIED ACCOUNTANCY
Privacy CA
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This California Privacy Notice supplements the Privacy Policy of Applied Accountancy (“APPLIED ACCOUNTANCY,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and applies to California residents. It describes our practices and your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA/CPRA”).
Personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect these categories of personal information:
– Identifiers: such as name, email address, postal address, phone number, IP address, and account identifiers.
– Customer records: such as contact details and information you provide when making a purchase or requesting service.
– Commercial information: such as products or services considered, purchased, or returned.
– Internet or network activity: such as browsing activity, interactions with our website, and device or browser information.
– Approximate location data: such as location inferred from an IP address.
– Inferences: such as preferences inferred from your interactions with us.
We collect this information from you, your device, our service providers, and—where applicable—business partners or other sources. We use it to provide and improve our services, process transactions, communicate with you, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not knowingly collect or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
The CCPA/CPRA uses “sell” and “share” broadly. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
If we use advertising, analytics, or similar technologies that disclose identifiers or online activity to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, that may constitute “sharing” under the law—even if no money changes hands.
If applicable: We may share identifiers and internet or network activity with advertising or analytics partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link below.
We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 without the required authorization.
Your California privacy rights
Subject to applicable exceptions, California residents may have the right to:
– Know/access the personal information we collected about you, including information about our collection, use, disclosure, sale, or sharing practices.
– Correct inaccurate personal information.
– Delete personal information we collected from you.
– Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
– Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
– Be free from discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, use our [Opt-out Settings] link or contact us using the details below.
We will process your request as required by law. You may need to provide information sufficient for us to process the request, but we will not require you to create an account solely to submit an opt-out request.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by California law. When we detect a valid GPC signal from your browser or device, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser or device. If we can reasonably associate the signal with your account, we will apply the opt-out to that account as required by law.
To use GPC, enable it in a supported browser or browser extension. You can learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/.
How to submit other privacy requests
Submit a request to know, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us by email or phone using the details at the bottom of this page.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we may require proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Retention and disclosures
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
We may disclose personal information to service providers and contractors that help us operate our business. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit, except as permitted by law.
